What is tallow and why do you use it in your skincare? We believe in using the most potent, nourishing ingredients, and for us, that begins with grass-fed tallow. Sourced from a single, family-owned ranch in Southeastern Oregon, our tallow comes from free-range cattle that graze on a diverse range of native plants. It is a powerful emollient that is exceptionally compatible with our skin's natural biology, providing deep, lasting moisture.

Why is Black Seed Oil a core ingredient in your products? Black Seed Oil is an ancient botanical treasured for its ability to soothe and balance the skin. It is rich in antioxidants and essential fatty acids that help to protect the skin and support its overall health. We use it as a foundational ingredient in all of our products to ensure a balanced, restorative experience.

Where are your products made? Every product from Sig & Fairy's is meticulously handcrafted in our Portland, Oregon apothecary. We are a small-batch business dedicated to creating each item with care, reverence, and attention to detail.

I see "tallow" and "fat" in your descriptions. Is this product safe for my skin? Yes, absolutely. We use only the highest quality, food-grade tallow sourced from happy, free-roaming cattle. The tallow is then hand-rendered with reverence to ensure it is incredibly pure, stable, and deeply nourishing. It is non-comedogenic and suitable for all skin types, even sensitive or acne-prone skin.

How should I store my products and what is their shelf life? Because our products are made with natural ingredients, we recommend storing them in a cool, dark place. The presence of natural Vitamin E helps to protect the integrity of the oils and extend their shelf life. When stored correctly, our products are best used within 12 months.

How fast will my order ship? We pack and ship every order ourselves, each morning. Orders placed by 8pm ship the next business day. We don't ship on Saturdays or Sundays, so anything placed Friday evening through Sunday goes out the following Monday.

How much does shipping cost? Shipping is a flat $6 on orders under $50, and free on orders $50 and over. We ship via USPS, currently within the United States only, including Alaska and Hawaii at the same flat rate.

Can I return a product? We accept returns on unopened, unused products within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. Because every product is handmade in small batches and can't be safely resold once it's been opened, we're unable to accept returns or offer refunds on anything that's been opened or used. Return shipping on an eligible unopened item is the customer's responsibility.

What if my order arrives damaged? Contact us and we'll send a replacement right away at no cost to you, we cover shipping both ways in that case.
